Hola!
I got a computer that lets me send pictures again! Abraham´s baptism, my district, and my district at the river.
This week was good! Transfers are next week, so p-day is moved to tuesday, just fyi. Also, Hna. Tejada has one more transfer left, so most likely I will be transferred this coming week. I heard it is rare that you are with your trainer longer than 2 transfers, but we will see. It´s kind of a bummer, because we committed 2 men to baptism yesterday! It was awesome and I have no doubt that those will go through. One is the 10th and the other the 17th of October.
General Conference is coming! We watch it the same time, with time change it´s at 1pm, 5pm, and the priesthood session at 9pm. We go to the stake center.
Church yesterday was good, Abraham got confirmed, and he is preparing to receive the priesthood. He is so solid. This week we had a lesson with his brothers family, that he lives with, and we also taught him about missionary work. He had memorized DyC 4 by our next visit and was all pumped to share the gospel! He really is golden.
We have an American family in our ward with 3 kids in the hospital. We fasted 2 days this week as a ward for them. They ate something, and have e-coli. One of the kids is in serious conditional and they don´t think she´ll make it. She is in a medically induced coma and has lots of complications that arose. Their family is here for 2-3 years working for the embassy.
We are continuing to work hard to get baptisms. We have been extending the baptismal commitment to everyone every lesson.
Kasey - reeses, no mucho, peanut butter, lo que quiere. :) recibí dos cartas de usted de pouch de Julio, no creo que voy a recibir más hasta la próxima conferencia de zona en 5 semanas.
Josh - crazy story! we considered calling the fire department, but our ward mission leader decided it would be better to do it the next day at the stake center, since there was a baptism already planned. :)
This morning, I studied prayer, and while I have been on my mission my testimony de la oracion has grown a ton. Prayer is key for our investigators, so that their hearts are opened to the spirit.
Scripture for the week: Mosíah 2 todo. Especialmente, vs. 24 y 41.
Tengan una buenisima semana!
Love,
Hermana Jones

Hola!
Abraham se bautizó!!! This was the craziest week ever! But, long story short, Abraham got baptized yesterday! I am trying to attach a picture right now... It´s not working. Anyways...
We had zone conference which was amazing. I loved it. Also, I got tons of mail. I got both packages mom, thanks a ton! Those weren´t as expensive as I expected. Thanks to Katie, Mom, Grandma Rowberry, Rebecca Peterson, Aubrey, Jessica, Kasey, Weights, and Madison Thompson! Most the letters I got were written in July and sent, so I´m sure if others sent me mail after that, in August or september, they´re on their way! But, thanks to all for the letters! I will write back soon!
So, this week was crazy trying to teach Abraham everyday so he was ready. We had to teach him everything in a week. So, the baptism was supposed to be saturday. We went to the chapel at 8 am to start filling the font for the baptism at 11. We started the water and went back to check it every 15 or so minutes. around 10:30 we went to check it and the water was dark brown/black! There was no more clean water!!! We were like NO!!!!!! Just then everyone started showing up. What we ended up having to do was reschedule the baptism for Sunday after stake conference in the stake center. That is the building of our zone leaders, and they had a baptism already planned, so we turned it into a stake baptism. It was awesome. The look on Abraham´s face after his baptism was priceless. After we went to a family´s house in the ward Villa Ballester (zone leaders ward) for lunch. It was delicious. Good day.
All weekend I had the most gigantic headache ever. Luckily it´s gone today, but it was not fun. However, last week I fixed our water heater, turns out the pilot was just out, so showers are nice and hot now. :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TREVOR!!!! I hope you got my card! I sent it last monday.
Today, we went to the beach. The weather is great. Today is the last day of winter! It´s very humid and around 70 degrees I would guess. Perfect. I heard summer is miserably hot! Wooohoo! :)
Well, all is great here! We have another baptismal date for October 3rd, and we are going to have to work really hard to get him to church the next couple weeks.
Thanks for all the support! Have a great week!
Love,
Hermana JONES!

Vamos a bautizar!!
We have a baptism saturday!! I am so excited! I will send pictures! My first baptism! Apparently there hasn´t been a baptism in Vicente López since like March.
Well, with Maria, things are kind of crazy. She had some friends tell her bad things about the church, and she hasn´t attended since, but we are working with her.
Our baptism is a man named Abraham. He is from Bolivia and he is awesine! He has attended church 3 times now as of yesterday, so we just have to finish teaching him the lessons this week! He has such a strong testimony. This week we taught him lesson 2 plan of salvation and committed him to be baptized saturday and at first he thought that was too soon, so we knelt down and prayed then and there and he asked. After he prayed, he knew it was right! It was so cool! I have no doubt that he will be baptized! Saturday 11 am! Also, this weekend we have stake conference, so that should be good. I am trying to send some pictures, if it works well, I will do it more often!
The first picture is Hermana Tejada and I in the rain in capital when I went to do my visa stuff. The second is us and our zone leaders at the conference for leaders that we went to this week. It was really good. The third is my new district eating pizza libre last week for P-day. Mom, see if you can post these on the blog.
This week, we have zone conference! So I will finally get mail for the first time in like 2 months! I can´t wait!
Courtney - thanks for the email!! I can´t wait to get your letter!
Kasey - suerte con thermo. gracias por su email tambien
Teej - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! FELIZ CUMPLE!
Sounds like everyone is doing great! I love hearing from everyone! Bummer about BYU football... probably because I´m not there. :) Just kidding.
Have a great week!

Hola!
This week went well! I do have some kind of sad news, our investigator who was supposed to get baptized this week, well, we couldn´t get her to church yesterday, so we have to postpone her baptism til at least Sunday, we will see. We are going to visit her tonight and try to set another date (Sunday I hope). I am a bit nervous for that.
Today for pday we went to Villa Ballester and played fútbol (soccer) as a district! It was really fun. This transfer we got transferred to a new district (the other district in our zone). They are all fun. Then after we went and ate Pizza Libre! (all you can eat). I am stuffed.
This week we had the pleasure of experiencing the tempesta de Santa Rosa! Supposedly it´s a famous storm they have every year the same week, and it´s like a tropical storm. So it rained like crazy and was super windy all week. Also, some flooding. If that happens again, I will probably invest in some rain boots. It was nuts, but today is super nice and sunny. Also, warmer, last week was a little cold. Spring doesn´t officially start til around the 20th.
Crazy all the MWC changes happening! It will be really different by the time I get back! Also, my companion may be going home after this transfer. She doesn´t know. The zone leaders told her this is her last, but she thinks they might be joking. She hopes she has one more! She is going to call tonight and find out. Also, her parents told her she is coming home in october, which would mean this is her last transfer. Her 18 months is up half way through the next transfer, so it could go either way.
We did get one of our investigators to church this week, and we did put 3 other baptismal dates for the end of the month with 3 of our investigators, so I hope those go through! All the dates we´ve had have not gone through thus far ( we haven´t had any baptisms) so I hope all goes well. We are praying and working hard for baptisms. We have a great area. It is the biggest in the mission and has some of the wealthiest areas. Also, some fairly poor areas, but I have faith the Lord will help us bring people to baptism!
Great news, because my companion is a ¨leader¨ we get to go to a conferencia for leaders in the mission again this week! It is tuesday through friday from 10-3. Those are awesome because I learn a ton, and we get really good free lunch!
The español is coming. I can understand much better every week, and the speaking is coming, slowly, but coming. I just have to make myself speak up more! Which I am doing better and better.
Hope school this week goes well for everyone! Thanks Katie and Kasey for the pictures! and Dad! Looks like everyone is doing well! There is no USB connector on this computer, but hopefully soon I´ll try and email pictures home.
As life gets busy because school is starting again remember, Alma 37:37!
Love,
Hermana Jones
